About the Clay & Craft

This bowl is hand-built from high-fired stoneware clay, carefully shaped by hand to achieve the shell's signature ridged, layered form. No moulds are used — each piece is sculpted individually, so every bowl is completely unique in its exact form and glaze finish.

The bowl is glazed in a deep green reactive glaze — a glaze that responds to heat and kiln atmosphere, creating natural depth, tonal variation, and a richness that flat glazes simply cannot replicate. The result is a lustrous, organic green with subtle shifts in colour across the ridges.
