Where artistry meets function — our Mixed Clay Snack Plates are hand-formed using a blend of natural clays, resulting in a striking abstract pattern of contrasting tones unique to each plate. No two are alike, and that's exactly the point.

About the Clay & Craft

These plates are created using a nerikomi (mixed clay) technique — a traditional ceramic art form where different coloured clays are blended, layered, and hand-formed together to create organic, abstract patterns within the clay body itself. We use a blend of stoneware clay and naturally coloured clays in shades of white, grey, cream, and deep brown, fired together at high temperatures to create the distinctive marbled or abstract look you see.

Because the pattern is formed within the clay — not painted on — it will never chip or wear off. Each plate is a small piece of functional art, finished with a clear food-safe glaze.
