Handmade Bird Mugs | Set of 2 | White Clay Ceramic
Handmade Bird Mugs — Set of 2
Two mugs, one story. Our Bird Mugs are hand-built from white clay with a fluted body, a warm amber glaze on the lower half, and a deep cobalt blue reactive glaze that pools and flows over the upper body. Finishing touch — a tiny hand-sculpted bird perched on each handle. Rustic, whimsical, and full of character — no two are ever the same.
Whether you're reaching for your morning coffee or an afternoon tea, these mugs make every sip feel a little more special.
About the Clay & Craft
These mugs are hand-built from white clay — a smooth, refined clay body that provides the perfect canvas for layered glazework. The lower body features a hand-carved fluted texture and is finished in a warm amber glaze, while the upper body and interior are finished with a cobalt blue reactive glaze — a high-fire glaze that shifts in tone and depth depending on how it pools in the kiln, creating a rich, moody blue with natural movement and depth.
The two glazes are intentionally layered to create a beautiful colour break — the amber flowing up from the fluted base meeting the cobalt blue cascading down from the rim. Perched on the handle of each mug is a hand-sculpted little bird, crafted individually as a playful signature on every piece.
