A little stretch, a loud yawn, it’s 9 am and I have set the mood for Sunday.
Opening my eyes I am sprawled on the lush grass that smells of summer but with a hint of dew.

I made a promise to my furry children that we would plan a little outing during the weekend.
I couldn't keep my promise the week before...and the week before that too. But it was worth the wait.

The wind blows through their fur as I watch them sleep under the warmth of the sun, my lips curl into a smile.

I think to myself, no matter where in the world we are, as long as we have each other, we’re home.
